2024 Big game awards

The Big Game Awards have been a staple at the BOW conventions over the years.  This contest is all about recognizing the success of our members. We don't care if you shot the biggest elk or a doe deer, we want you to enter your animals. We give out plaques to the winners and really love to recognize first successful archery kills.   Please take time to submit your animals to our Records Chair, Ron Niziolek, so we can have a fun and full event. If you harvested an animal that you think may be the largest at the banquet make sure to get it scored by an official scorer to be eligible to win a plaque.

Rules

1. All rules set forth by the Pope and Young records program are applicable to include those rules of Fair Chase.
2. Must be measured by an official Pope and Young or Boone and Crockett measurer to be eligible for a 1st place award.
3. Must be a BOW member at the time of harvest to receive a plaque.
4. Only entries taken in Wyoming which are recognized by the Pope and Young records program are eligible for awards.
5. Score sheets shall be sent to the Records Committee Chairman no later than 14 days prior to the annual convention or deadline set by the records chairman.
6. The Wyoming Award will be administered per the following:

• Entries may be either male or female
• Entries are not required to be scored or meet any minimum score.
• All entries must be taken in accordance with the rules of Fair Chase and in accordance with all laws and regulations as well as the By-Laws of B.O.W
• All entries shall be harvested by means of archery equipment as defined by B.O.W. By-Laws.
• Must be a member of BOW only at the time of application for this award
